The Process
Prepare your bird
Proper preparation is essential for protecting the feathers before mounting. After your hunt, keep the bird as cool as possible and gently wipe away excess blood or mud. Avoid plucking feathers or breasting out the bird.
Following the preparation guidelines helps ensure the feathers remain intact and allows us to create the best possible mount.
Ship your bird
Once the bird is fully frozen, it can be safely packaged and shipped to the studio. Birds should be packed in a cooler with ice packs and shipped early in the week using UPS or FedEx to avoid delays.
